Lucy the Labradoodle lives on the shores of beautiful Joslin Lake in Unadilla, Michigan, and she loves to swim. Lucy’s parents, David and Kathy Downey, enjoy watching their young dog leap into the water, but they worried that she may swim too far away from their home. They needed a solution that would allow Lucy the freedom to enjoy the water while also giving them the peace of mind that she will stay close to home. Read post >

When you picture Siberian Huskies, chances are you picture them in motion. Whether they are pulling a sled, running laps at the dog park or chasing squirrels, Huskies are among the most energetic and independent of all dog breeds. They are also well known “escape artists,” and can often be found digging under or leaping over fences.
Because of this reputation, pet parents often ask us: “Can a hidden fence really work for my Siberian Husky?”
Yes, it can! For over 30 years, DogWatch Dealers have been training Siberian Huskies, Husky mixes, Alaskan Malamutes and more to stay in their yards with our hidden fences. We reached out to our DogWatch Dealers and customers to learn more about the process of training Huskies, adjusting collars to work with their thick coats, and how adding an underground electronic fence to their property helped their smart and athletic pups enjoy their freedom! DogWatch® is proud to introduce our new Indoor Boundary system designed just for cats!
The new indoor system is designed to keep your cats safe and out of trouble – and out of the places cats should not be. The system includes an indoor transmitter, the CAT200, and a receiver collar specifically for cats, the CR7. Both the transmitter and the receiver use the same Digital FM technology found in our outdoor Hidden Fences and Mobile Boundaries for dogs.
The CAT200 transmitter is a dual-function Indoor Boundary. It can be used either with an attached boundary wire to keep cats in specific areas where you want them or away from larger areas, such as the dining room, kitchen countertops, living room furniture, etc. Or you can use it without a wire to protect a smaller “off-limits” area two to 10 feet in diameter (one to five feet from the center of the transmitter.) DogWatch® is proud to introduce our two newest Mobile Pet Boundaries:
The MB-1 Indoor/Outdoor Mobile Boundary is a versatile, waterproof, battery-operated mobile boundary used indoors or outdoors to create an “off-limits” area for your pet. This wireless system creates a pet-free zone two to eight feet in diameter (one to four feet from the center). The MB-1 transmitter has a rechargeable battery that can last up to 30 days on one charge.
The MB-2 Dual Function Indoor Boundary is our most flexible mobile solution to keep your pet safe inside and can be used either with or without a boundary wire. You can install the MB-2 with a wire to protect a large defined indoor area or you can use it without a wire for greater flexibility to protect smaller areas one to 13 feet in diameter (one to six-and-a-half feet from the center).

DogWatch Hidden Fence and Remote Trainer Make a Big Difference in Life of Michigan Dog and Her Owner
Lily, a 7-month Australian Shepherd from Michigan, is a high-energy dog. She loves chasing after tennis balls, learning new tricks, and exploring the outdoors. Lily’s mom Tracey loves her herding dog’s spirited nature, but was worried about keeping her safe. Tracey uses a walker, and cannot chase after her speedy pup when she runs out the door or over to the neighbors’ yard.
While looking for a solution, Tracey found her local DogWatch Dealers, Rachael and Derrick Woiderski. The Woiderskis are the owner-operators of DogWatch by K9 Keeper Fencing LLC and the authorized DogWatch Hidden Fence Dealers serving Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Lansing and the surrounding area. After speaking with Tracey over the phone, they knew that they could help her and Lily stay safe and have more fun together. Read post >

Announcing the newest feature of the DogWatch SmartFence®: Boundary Challenge Alerts!
SmartFence users will now receive an alert whenever their dog challenges the boundary of their hidden fence. A boundary challenge means that the pet has entered the “Avoidance Zone” leading up to the hidden fence boundary, and has received an audible (or vibration) warning and/or a correction. Any time a warning or correction is triggered, the SmartFence will generate an alert notification.
Boundary Challenge Alerts can be received via text and/or email. This new feature was developed in response to requests from SmartFence customers and our DogWatch Dealers. Read post >
