DogWatch Dealers
By Jaclyn Mosher, February 17, 2022
Each year, our DogWatch Dealers, their staff, and family members congregate at a usually sunny and warm setting for the annual DogWatch Dealer meeting. At our meeting, Dealers celebrate each other’s accomplishments, share stories and experiences, attend seminars and workshops, and reconnect with their extended DogWatch family.
Unfortunately, the world has had other plans for the last two years. While the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we do many things, it hasn’t changed the camaraderie and passion of the DogWatch team.

Are you trying to decide between a do-it-yourself electronic dog fence system and one installed by a professional? There is an increasing number of self-install fence kits available online and in stores, but how do these fences compare to the professionally installed fences, like those offered by DogWatch®, Invisible Fence®, and others? What skills do you need to install them? What do you need to know about dog training? Is a D-I-Y electronic dog fence a more efficient and cost-effective choice for you? Read post »

July 5th is usually the busiest day of the year for animal shelters in the United States due to the holiday that precedes it. Fireworks, large gatherings, flashing lights, and general noise causes many pets to panic and run away. While pets are at an increased risk of getting lost during holidays and celebrations, the fact is that pets are at risk of getting lost every day.
One in three pets get lost in their lifetime, and less than 23% of lost pets in the United States make it home. The number of dogs and cats that end up in animal shelters each year exceeds 4 million. Pet owners know how important it is to keep their four-legged family members safe and at home, and that’s why PetHub started Lost Pet Prevention Month in 2014. Celebrated every July, Lost Pet Prevention Month aims to spread awareness of lost pets, the pressure shelters feel during overpopulation, and what steps owners can take to keep their pets safe.

DogWatch® is proud to introduce our new Indoor Boundary system designed just for cats!
The new indoor system is designed to keep your cats safe and out of trouble – and out of the places cats should not be. The system includes an indoor transmitter, the CAT200, and a receiver collar specifically for cats, the CR7. Both the transmitter and the receiver use the same Digital FM technology found in our outdoor Hidden Fences and Mobile Boundaries for dogs.
The CAT200 transmitter is a dual-function Indoor Boundary. It can be used either with an attached boundary wire to keep cats in specific areas where you want them or away from larger areas, such as the dining room, kitchen countertops, living room furniture, etc. Or you can use it without a wire to protect a smaller “off-limits” area two to 10 feet in diameter (one to five feet from the center of the transmitter.) DogWatch® is proud to introduce our two newest Mobile Pet Boundaries:
The MB-1 Indoor/Outdoor Mobile Boundary is a versatile, waterproof, battery-operated mobile boundary used indoors or outdoors to create an “off-limits” area for your pet. This wireless system creates a pet-free zone two to eight feet in diameter (one to four feet from the center). The MB-1 transmitter has a rechargeable battery that can last up to 30 days on one charge.
The MB-2 Dual Function Indoor Boundary is our most flexible mobile solution to keep your pet safe inside and can be used either with or without a boundary wire. You can install the MB-2 with a wire to protect a large defined indoor area or you can use it without a wire for greater flexibility to protect smaller areas one to 13 feet in diameter (one to six-and-a-half feet from the center).

DogWatch Hidden Fence and Remote Trainer Make a Big Difference in Life of Michigan Dog and Her Owner
Lily, a 7-month Australian Shepherd from Michigan, is a high-energy dog. She loves chasing after tennis balls, learning new tricks, and exploring the outdoors. Lily’s mom Tracey loves her herding dog’s spirited nature, but was worried about keeping her safe. Tracey uses a walker, and cannot chase after her speedy pup when she runs out the door or over to the neighbors’ yard.
While looking for a solution, Tracey found her local DogWatch Dealers, Rachael and Derrick Woiderski. The Woiderskis are the owner-operators of DogWatch by K9 Keeper Fencing LLC and the authorized DogWatch Hidden Fence Dealers serving Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Lansing and the surrounding area. After speaking with Tracey over the phone, they knew that they could help her and Lily stay safe and have more fun together. Read post »

On the morning of May 23, Ash, a one year-old gray and white Pit Bull, went missing from his home at Hanahan Fire Station #1 in Hanahan, South Carolina. The Hanahan firefighters quickly shared Ash’s photo on social media, and the news spread fast. Soon local animal shelters, businesses, news reporters and dog lovers in the community were searching for the beloved fire dog.
One local business owner who heard Ash’s story was Matthew Cormack, owner-operator of DogWatch of Greater Charleston. Matt shared Ash’s photo on his Facebook page, and called the fire station to let them know he would be happy to donate a hidden fence for Ash upon his return. Read post »

Koda, a 7 month old Saint Bernedoodle from Michigan, is a bundle of puppy energy. He loves to play tug of war with his three (human) brothers, and practically somersaults with joy when he spots another dog nearby. Koda is very popular with his neighbors, but is not popular with all of their dogs (especially the older ones, who prefer a little peace and quiet). Koda’s family needed a solution to help him exercise that puppy energy while at the same time staying safe in his yard. Enter Derrick and Rachael Woiderski of DogWatch by K9 Keeper Fencing LLC.
Koda’s story was like many they had heard before from their customers, with one big difference. Koda’s father Jason Sotke, a Grand Rapids police officer, was seriously injured in the line of duty last October. During an arrest, Jason was knocked to the ground and suffered a spinal cord injury that left him temporarily paralyzed and required surgery. Read post »
