2019 DogWatch Dealer Meeting

DogWatch Dealers from across the country and around the world met in the Texas Hill Country near Austin on February 8-11, 2019 for the 25th Annual DogWatch Dealer Meeting. More than 150 Dealers, employees, exhibitors and family members attended the meeting at the Horseshoe Bay Resort and enjoyed informative and inspiring information sessions plus plenty of good food and camaraderie with fellow DogWatch Dealers.

The annual conference features workshops, panels, exhibitors and how-to sessions, and it provides a wonderful opportunity for Dealers to brush up on the latest technology, learn business best practices and hear about new and upcoming DogWatch products and initiatives. The meeting also gives Dealers the chance to catch up with each other and share ways that they are managing their business in order to bring the best pet containment solutions to their communities. 

While the weather was unseasonable chilly for the area (and even featured some snow!), that did not dampen the enthusiasm of the attendees. Guest speaker Stu Schlackman lead a lively workshop on how understanding personality styles (Blue, Gold, Green or Orange) can help you improve your interactions/relationships with customers and co-workers. He had the whole DogWatch crew saying: “Are you a Green?” or “You’re definitely an Orange!” Exhibitors included representatives from Jobber, our Private Print Store, Industrial Wire, DMR Trenchers, Lupine Pet Collars, Freedom Pet Pass, Trustpilot and the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP).

On Saturday morning, DogWatch President Fred King kicked off the meeting by recognizing Dealers in attendance who are celebrating significant anniversary milestones with DogWatch in 2019. Here is the list, with photos!

On Saturday night, attendees got together for an entertaining dinner to celebrate the past year’s successes.
