2017 DogWatch Dealer Meeting Wrap-Up
DogWatch Dealers from across the country and around the world met in Palm Springs on February 10-12, 2017 for the 23rd Annual DogWatch Dealer Meeting. Over 150 Dealers, employees and family members attended the meeting at the Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage, CA, and enjoyed stunning views, sunny weather and inspiring talks to kick-start another great year!
The annual conference features workshops, panels, exhibitors and training sessions, and it provides a wonderful opportunity for Dealers to brush up on the latest technology and learn about new and upcoming DogWatch products and initiatives. The meeting also gives Dealers the chance to catch up with each other and share ways that they are managing their business in order to bring the best pet containment solutions to their communities.
In addition to the beautiful surroundings, this year’s Dealer Meeting had many highlights. On Saturday night, attendees got together for an entertaining dinner to celebrate the past year’s successes. After dinner, DogWatch President Fred King and Director of Dealer Development Matt Cormack presented awards to our top achieving DogWatch Dealers of 2016. Here is a list of the award winners. - The Westin Mission Hills works with a local animal rescue group to help find homes for pets in need. We met these two Jack Russell mix sisters (left) on Friday, and were delighted when we heard they found their forever home the next day! Some DogWatch Dealers also brought their dogs to the event, including Lawrence Sowers of DogWatch of the Piedmont, who brought his adorable chocolate Lab, Babe Ruth (right).

- A group of DogWatch Dealers from the West (Arizona, Idaho, Colorado), congratulate their friend Larry “Ed” Johnson of DogWatch of Montana, who was one of three “Dealers of the Year.”

- The weather on Sunday was spectacular, just like this view of the golf course.

- DogWatch Dealer Ron Pace spoke to the group about his long, successful career as a dog trainer, and demonstrated the remarkable ability of his young German Shepherd Jude.

- The award winners visited the nearby Coachella Valley Brewing Co. on Sunday night, and enjoyed a tour, great BBQ and, of course, excellent craft beer!
