I would like to thank Laurie for going out of her way and well beyond the call of duty to troubleshoot and fix our Dog Watch system. Laurie put in special effort to contact us, then offered to come out and help us at 7pm the night before Thanksgiving! We had installed the system in 2005 for Nellie (see attached pic) and it has worked without fail until this spring when the line was broke due to a landscape project, followed by a lightning hit. She knows the system inside and out and quickly found cable issues, fixed them and repalced the transmitter.
All this work took just less than an hour, the cost was amazingly low, and she was a wealth of information about the system and best practices for installation and maintenance of the system. Thank you so much for your unselfishness and great service. You did exceed my expectations!

I made the decision to purchase a DogWatch Hidden Fence to keep our one year old lab in our yard. Most of my neighbors had purchased the Invisible Fence brand. I had their representative come out and give me a quote. I went on the internet and found another company DogWatch. I talked to their representative and found the technology and cost was better with DogWatch. DogWatch uses FM band whereas the Invisible Fence uses AM band. The battery used by DogWatch lasts 2 years whereas the Invisible Fence company replaces their battery every 3 months and they can only be purchased from Invisible Fence. The local representative from DogWatch was Tim Smith. He was very comfortable to work with and was most patient with all my questions. He also did a fabulous job installing the system. I purchased the containment system to protect our Ridgeback puppy and our new shelter dog from running off of our seven-acre property and I was so impressed with, not only the system, but the service that Dave and his team provided us. Dave is obviously a qualified dog-trainer and understands how to quickly, and efficiently, teach the dogs about the property boundaries and understands the dog's response to the system so that the settings can be set for that individual dog.
After our great experience with the containment system, we also purchased the "Big Leash" Remote Trainer for the Ridgeback and, within a day or two, she stopped tackling running children and listened and learned the commands we were trying to teach her . It saved us a ton of money on the trainer that we were about to hire. We also bought a few "Skedaddle" systems to keep her from counter-surfing. We move them around as we need them (placing one on a table outside when we have food on it; another in front of a doorway when we don't want her to enter a specific room) and, after our last Ridgeback ruled our life with his food obsessions, we are so relieved that we do not have to deal with that this time around.
In addition to the amazing products, Dave and his team have the most amazing follow-up consultations I have ever seen in a company. The experience is not just one training session and a manual. They have extensive follow-up calls to see how things are going and their staff is professional and reliable. This is probably what separates them for many of the other companies out there.

The parade of furry visitors we have through our yard had us worried but he never left the yard.
The installation was performed very professionally; lightening protected, no exposed wires and no unsealed holes between the controller and the yard. The hardware is holding up very well rain or shine.

It had been our desire to link 32-34 acres of our properties so the dogs could interact and would also stay out of the deer plots on the remaining land. So, after a couple of years of trying one thing or another and then nothing for a while, I noticed your ad in the yellow pages that said it was for acreage.

Finally, I want to acknowledge and thank you for the service-after-sale. We've had breaks in the wire from deer hooves (particularly in swampy areas) and even from an armadillo. After speaking with Donna on the phone I became aware how much more individualized and comprehensive the training is with each dog that is trained with the Dogwatch system and felt it offered a big advantage over any other system I researched.
As I mentioned we had two dogs trained on The Invisible Fence system back in the mid 1980s. Immediately after installation of the system the training basically consisted of showing the dogs the flags, giving a correction and having the pet owner take it from there. While some dogs do okay with this method - it does not take into consideration each dog’s unique needs, temperament etc. We had an older female black lab that, after receiving the first correction, was very fearful to leave the house and go out into the yard. The initial correction / training was too rushed for her and she would crouch and cower on the lawn upon going out the door. Needless to say it caused us a lot of heartache to see her so scared to go out into her own yard!
Because of the time you took to get to know Pepper and therefore train and progress at a pace that worked for him - he is not only safe but HAPPY in his yard. I wanted to drop you a line to tell you what happened this morning (or what didn't happen.) Bailey, Lola and Jesse are barking in unison non-stop while I'm trying to get a few more ZZZs in. I get up to open the slider to let them out and give myself some peace. As I'm watching, all three of them b-line it toward the field in the back. I'm thinking there's no way they can brake in time to not cross over because they are flying so fast. I instinctively yell out my motherly "CAREFUL!" All of a sudden I see three big deer galloping away in the other direction. Smart deer! All three dogs stop right before the line and watch the deer go off. (I need to check for skid marks later on.)
When they finally came back in later I realized (as usual) Lola's collar wasn't on (Jesse pulled it off again). Even with her collar off and with three big deer they (all three) stopped short of the boundary line. This DogWatch fence is truly working incredibly and we are very pleased with it and with our decision to go with you versus going with competitor pet fences. I really think that the training all came in their first two days and the rest was just reinforcement. You are a wonderful trainer! I wanted to write to thank you for their safety, for our peace of mind and wish you a peaceful and hopefully snowy Christmas!

The system works exactly as you outlined it to be before the purchase. Fletch (my 90 pound Weimaraner) had been roaming the neighborhood and wreaking havoc. Then we had the system installed. We were skeptical. Fletch is a large dog and doesn't seem to catch on quickly.
Your installer, Alex, was extremely helpful in explaining and assisting in the training of Fletch. The follow-up was great as well. We even had the line severed by the cable company and Alex came right out to repair the underground dog fences’ broken line and get the system up and working. Also, we had several follow-up questions in the weeks after the installation and Alex was there to answer. Great service.
Now our neighbors, like us again, and Fletch can be left out in the yard. He roams the yard, but does not leave the confines of the yard. We simply don't have to worry about him getting loose anymore. Having this peace of mind that he will not bother the neighbors, and he is SAFE made the purchase worth every penny.

We even had the line severed by the cable company and Alex came right out to repair the underground dog fences’ broken line and get the system up and working. Also, we had several follow-up questions in the weeks after the installation and Alex was there to answer. Great service.
Now our neighbors, like us again, and Fletch can be left out in the yard. He roams the yard, but does not leave the confines of the yard. We simply don't have to worry about him getting loose anymore. Having this peace of mind that he will not bother the neighbors, and he is SAFE made the purchase worth every penny.

We own 2 coon hounds. One, the Walker, weighs approximately 90 lbs and is one year old. The other, a Black & Tan, is 7 months old. We live in the country and tried to let the dogs roam. Both are inside dogs and when nature called, we could not let them run free, for their "noses" always got them in trouble. Everything that passed through our yard, its scent was devoured by their noses and off they went. We quickly found out we could not let them run free. When nature called, we would taken them out on leashes or tie them up. My wife has emphysema and two trips outside with both dogs was very hard for her. Our solution? Call Kriger Fence. Scott Kriger returned our call immediately and came to our home. He gave us an estimate and explained how the system worked. My husband saw all the problems I had walking two dogs outside in the yard (and so) we had the DogWatch fence system installed. The dogs were easily trained and I really love it. AND best of all - the baby gates are now stored in the closet - baby gates are a huge hassle and can never be a sensible solution to keeping dogs contained in a house. We are just thrilled with the system and will highly recommend it to anyone with inside dogs. It was well worth the price, without question.
